We are an access platform — not a content host. We do not upload, store, cache, or transmit any video, audio, or media files on our servers. MoonCast provides subscribers with credentials to access streams delivered by third-party providers. We have no ability to add, remove, or modify those streams. If you believe a stream accessible through our platform infringes your copyright, this page explains the correct path forward.
Email us with all required information. We review every notice within 24 hours.
Valid notices are forwarded to the relevant upstream provider. We document every step.
We confirm the outcome to you in writing. Repeat infringers are removed from our platform.
The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States federal law that protects copyright holders from unauthorized use of their work online. It also provides a legal framework — known as Safe Harbor — that shields platforms and service providers from liability for third-party content, provided they respond promptly and in good faith to valid takedown notices.
MoonCast operates within this framework. We take copyright seriously. We do not encourage, facilitate, or profit from copyright infringement. When a valid notice is received, we act — and we document every step of that process.
To submit a valid DMCA notice, you must be the copyright owner or an authorized representative. Notices that are incomplete, vague, or submitted in bad faith will not be actioned — and may expose the sender to legal liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.
Your notice must include all of the following:
Important: Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that content is infringing may be held liable for damages — including legal fees — incurred by the accused party. Do not file a notice unless you have a genuine, good-faith belief that infringement has occurred.
All DMCA notices must be sent by email to our designated copyright agent. We do not accept notices by post, social media, or live chat. Email is the only channel that creates the proper paper trail for both parties.
If content was removed or access was restricted as a result of a DMCA notice and you believe this was done in error or through misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice.
A valid counter-notice must include:
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If no legal action is filed within 10–14 business days, the content or access may be restored at our discretion.
MoonCast maintains a strict policy against repeat copyright infringement. Subscribers whose accounts are associated with multiple verified infringement notices will have their access permanently terminated without refund. This policy is enforced consistently and without exception.
We believe most of our subscribers are here for the same reason we built MoonCast — to watch great content at a fair price. We take this policy seriously because protecting content creators is part of respecting the value of what they make.
